We do not collect payment information. We do not collect Social Security numbers, tax IDs, or government-issued identification. We do not access your accounting software or financial institution accounts.
3. How We Use Your Data
Email address: Used exclusively to send your diagnostic report via EmailJS. We do not add you to a mailing list, send marketing emails, or share your email with advertisers without your separate and explicit consent.
Financial figures: Processed in real time by the diagnostic engine running in your browser. Figures are also transmitted to EmailJS solely to populate the report sent to you. We do not store your financial figures in a database.
Consent log: Stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and logged to our server console as a compliance record of your acceptance of the Terms of Use and Disclaimer. Version number and timestamp are recorded.
Usage data: Standard server-side logs are maintained by Vercel Inc. as part of platform hosting. These are used solely for platform security, uptime monitoring, and debugging.
4. Third-Party Data Processors
We use the following third-party service providers who may process your data on our behalf. Each is bound by their own privacy policies:
EmailJS (emailjs.com) — When you submit your email address and request a report, your email address and report content are transmitted to EmailJS servers for email delivery. EmailJS processes this data in accordance with their privacy policy. We encourage you to review it at emailjs.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Vercel Inc. (vercel.com) — FixMyBalanceSheet is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure. Vercel may collect standard server request logs including IP addresses and browser information as part of hosting operations. Vercel's privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Google Fonts (fonts.google.com) — We use Google Fonts to load typography. Google may log font requests. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not use advertising networks, tracking pixels, retargeting cookies, or behavioral analytics platforms on this site.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
FixMyBalanceSheet does not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies. We use your browser's localStorage solely to store a local copy of your consent log (timestamp, email, terms version) for your own reference. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers except as described in Section 3.

6. Data Retention
We do not maintain a user database. Financial figures entered into the form are not stored on our servers beyond the time required to generate and transmit your report. Email addresses transmitted through EmailJS are subject to EmailJS's own retention policies.
Server logs maintained by Vercel are retained in accordance with Vercel's standard data retention practices.
7. Data Security
The tool operates over HTTPS. Financial data entered in the form is processed in your browser and transmitted to EmailJS over encrypted connections. We do not store sensitive financial data in persistent databases.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security and disclaim liability for unauthorized access beyond our reasonable control.
8. Children's Privacy
FixMyBalanceSheet is intended for use by adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data through this platform, please contact us at info@consultingopportunity.com and we will take steps to remove the information.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you. Since we do not maintain a persistent database of user submissions, most requests can be satisfied by confirming that no persistent data exists.
